We are actively involved in hands-on projects and supplying needed resources through:

FISH: A local volunteer social service agency that provide a local food bank, emergency transportation, family counseling, summer enrichment activities for at-risk kids, and so much more.
Teen Outreach: A service to teens living on the street in Pierce county that provides comfort, food, clothing, counseling and more.
Habitat for Humanity: The international and local groups work alongside those needing affordable, safe housing as they build their own homes.
REACH: A local agency coming alongside those individuals and families struggling with terminal illnesses, including HIV/AIDS.
Terry Home: A local home providing loving care and normalcy to brain-injured teens and young adults. This is the only facility of its kind in Western Washington.
The United Methodist Women: They are a mission outreach group for women. They support numerous local, national and international mission projects. They are the largest women's organization in the world.
Mission Trips: The church has gone to White Bird, Idaho for the last several years and helped this small community church provide Vacation Bible School for its community children. They repaired the church building and tackled projects its small congregation cannot. The Senior High youth go a mission trip during the summer coming home having learned more they they ever put on paper. In the summer of 2004 they worked on the streets of San Francisco.
Kairos Ministry: We have several in the congregation actively involved in prison ministries. We host and participate in this ministry as these Christians share the story of faith with the women in the Washington State Correctional Facility at Purdy. Others have developed a one-on-one relationship to support a resident there. We have a youth who has helped create a mother-child support program currently being used for these women who are separated from their children by bars.
United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR): This organization is often the first on the scene when there is an international disaster. Our contributions to UMCOR funds provide the needed relief funds because our denomination covers all its overhead expenses.
Stephen Ministry: Our congregation is proud to offer the Stephen Ministry. It is a distinctly Christian one-to-one care program offered to those who are experiencing all kinds of life needs and circumstances. Our Stephen Ministers are committed Christians who:
Express God's love to others
Have committed to a specialized 50 hours of training
Visit with a care receiver regularly and dependably
Keep a high level of confidentiality
Continue sharpening their skills with further training and practice. If you are interested in learning more about Stephen Ministry, or would be interested in receiving a Stephen Minister to walk along you for a time period, talk with one of our Stephen Leaders: Pastor Al, Carolanne or Florence Pain. Encourage one another and build one another up.-Thessalonians 5:11
